Epic Empire Designs was brought to life after the owner, Heather Kleim, discovered the incredible impact of home staging while living in Florence, Italy. While managing a real estate agency that specialized in the sale of villas and farmhouses in Tuscany, she quickly learned that many potential buyers couldn’t see past the belongings and personal items of the current owner. The agency began staging these properties and the outcome spoke for itself: sales increased very quickly and properties that had been on the market for months began selling.
Prior to her time in Italy, Heather had a very prosperous career in corporate recruitment where she successfully led many national projects and learned the true value of providing outstanding service. During these years, Heather was a recruitment consultant by day and on evenings and weekends, she was moonlighting as a home stager. Even as a small child, growing up a ‘military brat’ and moving every four years, her job was to set up the living room and arrange the furniture. It didn’t stop there either; one of her favourite hobbies growing up was to rearrange her bedroom, which she did on a regular basis. It can safely be said that staging is in her blood and has always been her passion. No longer moonlighting as a home stager, Heather now shares her passion and creativity with her valued clients across Metro Vancouver as a full time career.
