- Circa December 2010 -
Whirlwind. Exhilarating. Exciting. Successful. Those are the first four words that come to mind when I look back on the past year of home staging in Vancouver. March started out with a bang, the wave continued to build and what a ride it’s been. Some highlights of the season:
- Being featured on Global News in June as a follow up to our initial appearance in November of 2009
- Making a lasting impression at the BC Real Estate Convention in April; our home staging door prize was a crowd pleaser!
- Successfully (and beautifully, if we do say so ourselves) staging a 10,000 square foot home in West Vancouver that sold for $35K over asking price after being on the market for 3 days; the Vancouver Province did a story on us as a result of this project
- Staging a record number of condos throughout the lower mainland resulting in some incredibly quick sales and very happy home owners and realtors
- “Tweeting” our hearts out on Twitter and connecting with some great people as a result
- Launching our new side company with flying colours (details TBA, it’s still top secret)
- Growing our partnerships with numerous realtors and suppliers who have been key in making EED who we are today
- Last but not least: Our clients’ reaction to our work. We had tears of joy, hugs, shrieks of happiness and speechlessness; their excitement brought us ridiculous amounts of pride and satisfaction.
I’ll spare you a two page list of highlights. You’re welcome. It was certainly an adventure with very few dull moments. There were days that were smooth sailing and other days we felt like we were filming a high drama TV show. Our creativity was challenged and multi tasking skills put to the test. Want to know the best part? I loved every minute of it. Even the stressful days. Why did I enjoy the stressful days, you ask? Because it was MY stress. I didn’t lose sight of the big picture: my company was growing and was on the path to achieving its vision. There is something to be said about truly loving what you do. Yes, I just said that. Cheesy? Yes sir. True? 100%.
Epic Empire Designs is fortunate to have many incredible partners who contributed to the experience of the past several months. We thank you for your continued support & helping us achieve our vision of becoming Vancouver’s home staging leader. As a business that just celebrated its one year anniversary, we are giddy with anticipation of what the next year will hold for us.
